The San Francisco Garden club has a rich and vibrant history. Since 1926 its members have been dedicated to the mission of making San Francisco a more beautiful and vibrant city.
When Mrs. William Hinckley Taylor hosted the first meeting in 1926 the times and trials were different, but the task is much the same: to keep the beauty and spirit of San Francisco alive through times of prosperity or turbulence. The members of the San Francisco Garden Club undertake this task through their participation in our improvement projects, awareness programs, fundraisers, and club activities.
Our most valued asset is the membership of the Garden Club, and therefore; the New Member’s Tea which celebrates our newest members is one of our most cherished events. New members bring a promise of our continuation toward a bright future, for the Garden Club and our beloved city by the bay.
So, come join in the celebration as we remember our history and look forward to a new year of opportunities. There is a time to start anew with love and charity in our hearts and, for us, that is the San Francisco Garden Club New Member’s Tea.
